Office bluff 2.0

GAMEPLAY GUIDELINE

STEP 1: SETUP (5 minutes)

1. Moderator shuffles deck and deals 5 cards face down to each player
2. Players look at their cards secretly
3. Moderator writes roles on 5 papers: "BOSS", "UNION REP", "RECEPTIONIST", "JUNIOR STAFF", "INTERN"
4. Scrunch papers, players pick randomly, look secretly
5. Moderator keeps the deck nearby for card draws
6. Everyone gets 5 cards from the deck randomly.

STEP 2: INTRODUCTIONS (2-3 minutes)

Going around the table, each player says:

• Fake name
• Fake department
• One achievement at work

Example: "I'm Jack from Marketing. I increased sales by 30% last quarter."

STEP 3: NIGHT PHASE (1 minute)

Moderator says:

"Everyone close your eyes and put your heads down."

"BOSS, open your eyes. Point to one person you want to fire." (BOSS points silently)

"BOSS close your eyes."

"UNION REP, open your eyes. Point to one person you want to save." (UNION REP points silently)

"UNION REP close your eyes."

"Morning everyone! Open your eyes."

STEP 4: ANNOUNCEMENT (30 seconds)

Moderator checks: Did UNION REP save the person BOSS targeted?

Situation	Announcement
Saved	"[Name] was almost fired but the UNION REP saved them! They keep their job."
Not Saved	"[Name] was fired! Before you reveal your role, do you have a king card?."

Eliminated players can give 1 hint per round during discussions.

STEP 5: DISCUSSION & CARD PLAY (No time limit)

This is the main part of the game. Players can:

• Talk - accuse others, defend themselves, share suspicions
• Play power cards - Ace, King, Queen, Jack, or 10 (discard after use)
• Trade cards - Only through playing a 10 card (trade 2-for-2 with another player)

Card powers can be played in any order, at any time during discussion.

When the group feels ready, someone calls for a vote.

STEP 6: VOTING (30 seconds)

Moderator says:

"Everyone point at who you think is the BOSS. 1...2...3... POINT!"

Moderator counts votes. Player with most votes is accused.

STEP 7: REVEAL (30 seconds)

Moderator asks: "[Name], are you the BOSS?"

If They Say...	Then...
YES	"Workers win! Game over!"
NO	They reveal their real role

If they play KING card:

• They reveal KING and come back immediately
• Discard KING, game continues

If no KING:

• They're eliminated

STEP 9: NEXT ROUND

Repeat from STEP 3 (Night Phase) with remaining players.

Game continues until:

• Workers win → Boss is voted out
• BOSS wins → Only 1 Worker remains alive

STEP 10: END OF GAME

Moderator announces winner:

• "Workers win! The Boss has been caught!"
• "BOSS wins! Only one Worker remains!"
